ISSA東京支部より2010年最初の定例ミーティングのお知らせです。今回は、SANS Asiaとの共催により、SANS Technology Institute フェローであるEric Cole氏によるWebnarを同時通訳付きで行います。

内容：
情報システムがインターネットに接続している限り、組織は絶えず様々な攻撃に直面しています。これらの攻撃を100％「防御」できることは理想ですが、現実には不可能です。そこで、「検知」することがとても重要となります。たとえ攻撃を阻止できなかったとしても、早期の発見はダメージを最小限にとどめてくれ
ます。
このウェブキャストでは、組織のボトムラインを脅かすマルウェアの早期発見とダメージを緩和するための手法のいくつかについて解説します。

Abstract：
In an ideal world, organizations would prefer to prevent and stop all attacks.
However as long as a company is connected to the Internet some attacks will always occur. Therefore while prevention is ideal, detection is a must. If an attack cannot be prevented, the sooner you can identify and find malware, the less damage that will happen to your system. This
webcast will look at some methods for timely identification and remediation of malware that can be used to reduce the impact an attack could have to a company's bottom line.

Eric Cole Bio：
Dr. Eric Cole is an industry recognized security expert, with over 15 year's hands-on experience. Dr. Cole currently performs leading edge security consulting and works in research and development to advance the state of the art in information systems security. Dr. Cole has experience in information technology, with a focus on perimeter defense, secure network design, vulnerability discovery, penetration testing, and intrusion detection systems. Dr. Cole has a Masters in Computer Science from NYIT, and Ph.D. from Pace University with a concentration in Information Security. Dr. Cole is the author of several books to include Hackers Beware, Hiding in Plain Site, Network Security Bible and Insider Threat. He is also the inventor of over 20 patents and is a researcher, writer, and speaker. Eric is also a senior scientist with Lockheed
Martin Information Technology (LMIT) and Lockheed Martin (LM) fellow. Dr. Cole is actively involved with The SANS Technology Institute (STI) and SANS actively working with students, teaching, maintaining and developing courseware.

内容：Windows7のセキュリティーーその真相
Windowsのセキュリティというと思い浮かべるのは何でしょう。ワームやトロイの木馬、ゼロデイ攻撃といった事柄でしょか。実は、多くの方々には意外なことに、マイクロソフト社は近年セキュリティの最前線を切
り開く成果を挙げてきました。
ビル・ゲイツ氏の2002年の社内向け覚書き "We can and must do better"にも助けられて、同社は "Trustworthy Computing" を具体化すること、Windowsの機能を増やす代わりにセキュリティの課題を解決すること、に努力を集中してきたといえます。
その証拠は、Vista の Service Hardening, Mandatory Integrity Levels, Kernel Patch Protection,
User Account Control といったものに読み取ることができます。
Windows 7では、このVistaで導入されたものの上に、より強固なセキュリティに向けた努力をさらに具体化してきています。
このVistaや、Windows7で導入されたセキュリティ関連の変化について、またWindows7のセキュリティアーキテクチャについて講師の方にご紹介いただき、質疑応答を行う予定です。

Abstract:
Title: Windows 7 Security: Did they get it right?

When thinking about security in relation to Microsoft Windows what images comes to your mind first? For most people and organizations their first thought might be of worms, Trojans, zero day attacks, among a whole plethora of other security threat nightmares. However, to the surprise of many, Microsoft has over the years made some progress on the security front.

Thanks in part to Bill Gates' early January 2002 memo to all Microsoft employees entitled "We can and must do better", Microsoft has seemed to rise to the challenge of the "Trustworthy Computing" call to action and focus more effort on resolving security issues vs. just adding new features.
Evidence of this was first seen in Windows Vista with security improvements such as: Service Hardening, Mandatory Integrity Levels, Kernel Patch Protection, User Account Control, and so on.
With Windows 7, Microsoft further consolidated their efforts towards greater security as they built-upon what was introduced in Vista and released what many consider the most secure version of Windows yet.

To gain insight into what security related changes were introduced in Windows Vista and Windows 7, ISSA Tokyo has invited the speaker for discussing the security architecture of
Windows 7.

100 年に一度の大不況や衆議院選挙が話題になっていますが、国として重要な政策である防衛問題についてあまり議論されていません。従って、防衛関連のセキュリティについてもあまり知られていません。今回は、そういった防衛における情報セキュリティを含めた安全保障についてお話をして戴きます。

ISSA東京支部より６月臨時ミーティングのお知らせです。

当支部は毎奇数月の最終水曜日(3月と9月は翌第一水曜日)に定例ミーティングを行っておりますが、この度、同じ米国に本部を置くセキュリティ専門家の団体であるASISの日本支部と共同主催により、6月16日(火)に臨時ミーティングを開催致します。
なお、講師は当支部が推薦したWindowsセキュリティの専門家であり、Windowsセキュリティの現状とWindows 7へ向けた展望についてご講演戴きます。
「Windowsは危険」そんな言葉がセキュリティ専門家の間だけではなく、一般ユーザの間にまで蔓延して十年近くになりますが、Windowsは、バージョンを重ねるごとに確実に進化し、セキュリティ・レベルを高めてきました。その経緯を長年に渡ってWindowsのセキュリティを専門としてきた講師の方に語って戴きます。

内容：
ここ数年の間、様々なバージョンのWindowsにおいて多くの不正プログラムが蔓延し大きな被害を引き起こしています。
不正プログラムの機能は多種多様ですが、それらに共通していることは、主要な攻撃手段もしくは少なくとも最初の攻撃手段として、Windows Script Hostが使われていることです。そのような理由から、セキュリティ専門家からもそしてマイクロソフト自身からもWindows Script Hostは危険なものとのレッテルが貼られています。
マイクロソフトは、そのような経緯を踏まえ、Windowsの自動化の仕組みを根本から作り直そうという狙いの元、PowerShellを開発しました。
新しく開発されたPowerShellは、WSHで指摘されたセキュリティの問題を、Trusted Execution、デフォルトでのセキュリティ機能有効化、ダブルクリックによる実行の廃止などによって克服しています。今回、Tyson Kopczynski氏はPowerShellのセキュリティ機能、及び、Windows 7 で実現されたセキュリティ環境の展望について主に下記のような点に注目しつつお話します。

Abstract:
For many years now, the various different versions of Windows have all suffered from the bane of Malicious code (viruses, worms, Trojans, etc.).
While the manifestation of malware varies in both form and method of attack, a large percentage of malware authors have used Windows Script Host (WSH) as either their primary attack vector or part of their overall attack strategy. As such, WSH has for years been the red-headed step-child for both IT Security Professionals and Microsoft.
This is why when Microsoft set about to redefine Windows automation with the development and introduction of PowerShell. They decided to ensure that PowerShell had none of WSH's security shortcomings by employing such concepts as trusted execution, a secure by default installation, and the removal of double click execution.
In this presentation, Tyson Kopczynski will talk about PowerShell's security features and sneak peek into how the concept of trusted execution has been embraced by Microsoft as shown in Windows 7.
Topics to be covered include:

- WSH and why it posed such a security challenge to begin with
- PowerShell and its security features
- Code Signing, what it is and how to use it
- Windows 7 App Locker and the direction this might take us

Presenter's bio:
With more than ten years of experience in IT, Tyson Kopczynski has become a specialist in Active Directory, Information Assurance, Windows automation, PKI, and IT security practices. Tyson is also the founding author of the Windows PowerShell Unleashed series and has been a contributing author for such books as Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 Unleashed and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Unleashed. He has also written many detailed technical papers and guides covering various technologies. As a consultant at Convergent Computing, Tyson works with and provides feedback for next generation Microsoft technologies since their inception and has also played a key role in expanding the automation and security practices at CCO.

講演内容：「戦略上の仮説設定とインテリジェンス～歴史上繰り返される危険な言説を踏まえつつ」
「戦争」とは、弾を撃つ前から既に始まっており、弾を撃ち終えた後でも継続します。むしろ、弾を撃っている時よりも弾を撃っていない時の「戦争」こそが、時として、後々の情勢に大きな影響を及ぼします。
そして、そのような「弾を撃っていない時の『戦争』」の際に重要となるのが「情報＝インテリジェンス」です。その意味で、インテリジェンスとは、「弾を撃っていない時の『戦争』」を行う際の最も重要な武器とも言えます。
国家がその持てる資源のすべてを投入して行う戦争は多くの悲劇を生み出してきたのは否めない事実ですが、同時に多くの貴重な教訓を残しております。それらの中には、ビジネスの世界にはもとより、日常生活においても、大いに役に立つものも数多く有ります。インテリジェンスの活用方法は、その最たるものと言っても過言ではありません。

従来、情報セキュリティの世界では、情報の「秘匿性・整合性・可用性」が重要とされ、「正確性」は敢えて問わないものとされてきました。しかし、ITが重要な社会インフラとなった今、情報セキュリティはもはや情報システムだけの問題にとどまらず、エンタープライズ・リスクマネジメントの欠くことのできない要素となっています。

ISSA東京支部としては、そのような中、業務として関わるかどうかの問題とは別に、情報の本質を見抜いて活用する能力が、情報の専門家として要求される時代になってきているのではないではないかとの問いかけの意味を込め、今回は「敢えて『正確性』に踏み込む」というコンセプトの下、戦略・情報研究会を主宰されている大阪国際大学講師の久野潤先生をお迎えして、インテリジェンスとその活用が如何に重要なものかを歴史上の事例を紹介しつつ講義して戴きます。

Presentation: “Setting strategic hypothesis and intelligence. - Studying from the historical examples of 'dangerous' statements"

War is to start before shooting guns, and continues even after the gun shots. Rather, "war without gunshot" sometimes bigger influence than "war with gun shots".
And for such "war without gunshot", intelligence is very important. In other words, intelligence is the most important arm to deal with "war without gunshot"
It is true that war made many tragedies in the history. But at same time, it left us precious studies. These studies can be applied to improve not only war itself, but also business and even our daily life. And the way to utilize intelligence can be said to be the most conspicuous one.

It is true that "accuracy of information" have not been regarded to be handled by information security experts. But in present days, IT is important part of social infrastructure. And information security is also important part of enterprise risk management.

We, ISSA Tokyo Chapter, think information security experts should have ability to utilize intelligence, not only information. Therefore, this time, we invite Mr. KUNO, Jun, who is lecturer at Osaka International University and heading up "Strategy/Intelligence Study Group", and asked to give lecture about the importance of intelligence with introducing many historical examples.

４月２日（水）の ISSA東京支部定例ミーティングのご案内

ISSA東京支部より本年２回目の定例ミーティングのご案内です。

当ISSA東京支部は隔月の最終水曜日にミーティングを行うのが慣例ですが、３月と９月は期末のために出席が難しい方が多いので、翌月の第一水曜日にずらして開催しております。
今月は、オフショア開発を中心にインドとのITビジネスを推進しているイノソフトジャパン株式会社社長のアンドリュー・ラーソン氏と副社長の中村宏一氏をお招きし、「インドIT産業の今：情報セキュリティーの観点からの報告」と題して講演を戴きます。講演はすべて日本語で行われます。

なお、今回も会場がこれまでの場所と異なりますのでご注意ください。また、今回の会場については、イノソフトジャパン株式会社のトレーニングが行われていない時間帯に、当ISSA東京支部が使用料を支払った上での使用であり、スポンサーなどの関係は一切存在しないことをあらかじめお断り申し上げます。

講演内容：「インドIT産業の今：情報セキュリティーの観点からの報告」
昨年夏の米国発のサブプライム危機は、世界中の金融界を直撃し、同時に、産業界にも少なからぬ影響を及ぼしました。そして、その影響は、先進国だけではなく、BRICsと呼ばれて成長著しい国々に関しても及んでいると言われております。
しかし、実際のところはどうなのでしょうか？国内のメディアや書籍が決して取り上げない現実が、現場には有ります。
そこで、今回は、BRICsシリーズと銘打ち、ちょうど一年前にご講演戴いた中村宏一氏と、その中村氏のパートナーであるアンドリュー・ラーソン氏に、今のインドの現状、及び、そのインドと我が国日本との関係について、主に、ITと情報セキュリティの観点からお話戴きます。
